Neil deGrasse Tyson is one of the world's great astrophysicists and communicators of science. Of his target audience, he has said it is 'all of those people who never thought they would, or could, like science'. In Tyson's hands, science is made genuinely thrilling and with this edition of Death by Black Hole, a collection of his favourite short pieces on all aspects of the cosmos, we've matched his energy and science joy with an exciting and truly surprising design, both inside and out.

The award-winning creative studio, La Boca, has brought colour and bold graphics to the cover and slipcase, as well as to the decorative part-titles, and the specially chosen NASA images, captioned by the author, are some of the finest and most beautiful examples of modern astro-photography. Nebulas, spiral galaxies, asteroids, supernovas, many taken by the Hubble and James Webb space telescopes – each one awe-inspiring and expertly reproduced.
