Conditions of Sale

The Folio Society reserves the right to decline any book order without reason or explanation.

The Folio Society reserves the right to make alterations to an advertised book offer or promotion or to withdraw it without prior notice.

If you are not completely satisfied with any book you may return it within four weeks for a replacement, exchange or credit card refund.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

Promotional Offers

From time to time The Folio Society runs promotions and offers on selected books. Qualifying offers will either be automatically applied to your order, or you will be instructed on how to redeem it via a voucher code – on your order form, at checkout on the website, or when you place your order by telephone. All of our promotional offers are subject to the following terms and conditions:

Offers are only valid on the products specified and cannot be used on sale or promotional items which are already discounted, unless otherwise stated.

Offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer unless otherwise stated.

Offers are valid for a limited period of time, as specified in the marketing communication in print or on the website; they cannot be used outside of that period.

Offers are not valid on limited editions (unless otherwise stated) or delivery charges.

If you apply a voucher to an order which exceeds the value of that order, we cannot reimburse the difference.

All orders are subject to stock availability, and we reserve the right to withdraw, amend or extend offers at any time, without prior notice.

Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy Collection Giveaway Giveaway

The only official accounts that will contact you about this giveaway are @foliosociety and @2toramble on Instagram and TikTok.

We will never ask you to share sensitive personal details, click any links, or pay a fee to claim your prize. Please report any suspicious activity related to this giveaway to us immediately.

To enter, participants must follow all specified instructions on the giveaway page.

Entries must be submitted before midnight (BST) on Sunday 6th July 2025. Submissions received after this time will not be counted. One winner will receive The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy complete collection from The Folio Society. The Winner will be notified by Instagram or TikTik DM within 7 days of the competition closing.

If a winner does not claim their prize within 7 days of being notified, they will forfeit the prize, and a re-draw will be conducted. Winners are responsible for any taxes or customs fees that may apply during shipping.

The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or an alternative prize.

The Folio Society reserves the right to make the final decision in the event of any disputes.

Birthday Offer

Terms and conditions apply. Offer excludes the purchase of limited editions, e-Gift cards and the cost of delivery. You must be logged into your account to use the code. Cannot be combined with any other offer or promotion. Voucher valid online or by phone only. Minimum spend of £39.95/$54.95 applies. One voucher per customer. Voucher valid for 30 days from date of issue.

Folio e-Gift Cards

Folio e-Gift Cards can only be purchased and redeemed from and with The Folio Society. Our books are not sold new by any other retailer.

E-Gift Cards from The Folio Society are valid for one year from the date of purchase. Any remaining balance will be cancelled after that time.

E-Gift cards can be purchased with a minimum value of £25/$50. E-Gift Cards have a maximum value of £200/$300.

E-Gift Cards may be purchased and redeemed through The Folio Society website and also redeemed over the phone with our customer service agents and orders received by post.

The contact details of the Recipient will be used solely to email the e-Gift Card. The Recipient will not be otherwise contacted by Folio in any way unless they subsequently opt-in to marketing communications.

E-Gift Cards cannot be exchanged for cash.

E-Gift Cards must be redeemed in the Folio online store they were purchased in. For example, Folio e-Gift Cards purchased in The Folio Society’s UK online store can only be spent at www.foliosociety.com/uk, while those purchased in our USA store can only be redeemed at www.foliosociety.com/usa. All e-Gift Cards can be redeemed using the unique 25-character code included in the email.

It is the responsibility of the buyer that the e-Gift Card code is used by the intended recipient.

E-Gift Cards can be used for full payment and partial payment alongside one other method of payment (debit / credit card, PayPal, Apple / Google Pay). Multiple e-Gift Cards can be used at the same time as a method of payment.

Any existing balance on e-Gift Cards will remain until the card expiry date. You can check both the card's expiry date and remaining balance with the Gift Card Checker on our website, found either in your Account or at Basket and Checkout.

E-Gift Cards are non-refundable.

Refunds for purchases made with an e-Gift Card and returned to The Folio Society will be placed back onto a new e-Gift Card.

The Folio Society is unable to refund lost, stolen or damaged e-Gift Cards.

E-Gift Cards cannot be used towards the purchase of e-Gift Cards.

We reserve the right to refuse to accept an e-Gift Card which we deem to be tampered with, duplicated or which otherwise is suspected to be affected by fraud.

We reserve the right to amend the e-Gift Card terms and conditions from time to time, where we consider it reasonable and necessary to do so.

Returns and Replacements

If for any reason a book does not meet your expectations, you may return it to us within 4 weeks, and we will arrange for an exchange or refund (excluding postage). Please enclose a note explaining the reason for the return along with your name, address and your order number. When returning a parcel to us we recommend you obtain proof of postage. Please allow up to 14 days for a refund.

Service Promise

We are extremely proud of our books and make every effort to describe them accurately and produce them to the highest possible standards. In the unlikely event that a book you receive is imperfect or damaged in transit, please contact our customer service team immediately with a few photos of the problem.

We will always provide a replacement, or when necessary, a full refund of the price paid.

Limited edition items are made to order, individually hand-numbered, and available in strictly limited quantities. To protect the integrity of the limitation and for quality control purposes we do ask that you return the book before we can issue a replacement or refund.
