Folio member edits translation of Vincent van Gogh's Letters

More news just in about the magnificent new 6-volume edition of Vincent Van Gogh: The Letters. It has just come to our attention that Michael Hoyle, Translation Editor of the English edition, happens to be a Folio member! Working with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, Mr Hoyle engaged the services of 5 different translators to take on this mammoth project for Thames & Hudson, which came in at just under 1 million words. Vincent Van Gogh: The Letters – The Complete Illustrated and Annotated Edition has been hailed by critics since its publication last month - Martin Gayford in The Sunday Telegraph calls it ‘a masterpiece of literature’. We're delighted to be offering it to members from January 2010 at a special discount.
