Our Charles Darwin set includes On the Origin of the Species and The Voyage of H.M.S Beagle.

On the Origin of the Species
When first published in 1859, its central theory – that the natural order was not permanent and unchanging but a gradual process of evolution – met with fierce opposition. How dare any man challenge the concept of divine creation? But the first edition sold out within a day (it has remained in print ever since), its author was declared the most dangerous man in England, and a new era in human thought had begun.

The Voyage of H.M.S Beagle
On 27 December 1831, the 22-year-old Charles Darwin joined HMS Beagle as an unpaid naturalist on its circumnavigation of the world. While the Beagle made its progress around the South American coast, Darwin was afforded the unique chance to collect and study a vast array of flora and fauna. His journal, however, is not simply a record of his meticulously conducted investigations; it is a vividly written account of a great adventure.
